It’s good food and a good time for show newbies at the First-Time Attendee Reception. New participants will have the opportunity to meet members of the Channel Partners community as well as other first-time attendees.
Never trust, always verify. That’s the basic principle of Zero Trust, but there’s more to it than that. And Danny Jenkins, founder and CEO of ThreatLocker, will walk attendees through “Demystifying Zero Trust and Its Role in Cybersecurity.” Find out exactly what Zero Trust is, how to adopt it and where it belongs in the arsenal of cybersecurity protection.
Day drinking in Vegas! Does it get any better? Well, yes actually. During the “Pub Crawl in the Expo Hall,” you can visit participating exhibitors’ booths for complimentary beverages and discuss business over drinks.
Part color commentary, part summary the “State of the Market” keynote will provide an overview on the state of the business — what’s driving growth, customer satisfaction and how to motivate teams to achieve.
As in other industries, the competition for talent in the channel is fierce. In addition, the channel currently has a notable lack of diversity in its population. In “Using Mentoring and Advisory as a Tool to Attract Diverse Talent,” Kathryn Rose, founder of channelWise, will lead a discussion on attracting and keeping a diverse workforce. She will be joined by Orkideh Shadidi, vice president of people operations for SADA, and Kelli McMillan, global partner manager and partner advocate for Five9 and founder and CEO of the Xposure Inclusion & Diversity Council. The trio will examine topics such as how mentoring and advisory differ, their own experiences with mentoring and/or advisory and practical steps for launching a program.
An MSP Town Hall, “The MSP 2021 501: Meet Today’s Influencers & Innovative Leaders,” will be an interactive session in which attendees are welcome to participate. Channel Partners Editor Allison Francis will moderate. She will be joined by 501ers Kurt Guenther, group president of business solutions for Computer Services Inc.; Stephen Moss, senior vice president and general manager of Insight; and Rob Stephenson, CEO and board member at Thrive Networks.
Massive changes are taking place among tech providers. What does this mean for agents and their business? “Getting to the Next Level: Creating Financial Value for Agents” will consider just that. James Anderson, Channel Futures news editor, will moderate a three-person panel to discuss different options for agents to continue to grow, scale and create value. He will be joined by Christopher Trapp, founder and CEO of Upstack; Chris Werpy, COO of PlanetOne; and Ben Humphreys, president and CEO of Simplicity VoIP.
The business turmoil created by COVID-19 resulted in unprecedented innovation in tech. Unfortunately, a considerable amount of that innovation was by hackers — and it continues. So what now? During “How to Keep Customers Safe and Operations Running in a Post-Pandemic World,” an expert panel will discuss how channel partners can help customers protect their employees and keep operations on track. Hear from Jasmina Muller, vice president of global channel partnerships at Everbridge; Cheryl Neal, vice president of strategy and vendor acquisition for Tech Data; Janet Schijns, CEO of JS Group; and Paul Spencer, director of channel partner sales for T-Mobile.
The pandemic totally upended the traditional business environment. Employees moved to remote work, companies moved to the cloud and Zoom moved into the realm of full-fledged UC platform. Channel leaders must stay one step ahead of such changes to best serve their customers. In “UC Infrastructures in a Changing World,” Brian Gregory, director of channel marketing for Ribbon, will explain how that can be done. Brian will highlight some of the key areas to focus on to ensure a smooth deployment that meets the needs of end customers while allowing partners to focus on their core competencies.
