Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon, Tablet PC Release-Date Announcements Almost Here

Will it be a new Lumia smartphone, a Windows-powered Nokia tablet, or both?

Those are the questions business-users and general consumers alike are asking ahead of Nokia’s special event in London, set for May 14.

Some sources, such as those who tipped off GSM Insider, say it’ll be a tablet with a 10.1-inch display, a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. Other talk suggests the event will feature the unveiling of the Lumia 928 and Lumia EOS smartphones. So says The Droid Guy.

The 928 is expected to be a variant of Nokia’s flagship Lumia 920, only this device would be offered up in the U.S. by Verizon Wireless. AT&T has until now locked up exclusives on Nokia’s top-of-the-line smartphones. The 928 supposedly comes with a 4.5-inch touchscreen and 8MP camera.

The Lumia EOS is said to sport an even better camera.
