July 9, 2012
There’s certainly no lack of options in the all-in-one (AIO) desktop space, and Hewlett-Packard (HP) (NYSE: HPQ) has added four new options with the Compaq Elite 8300, Compaq Pro 6300, Envy and Pavilion 23 AIO computers.
The Elite 8300 features a 23-inch diagonal, full high-definition (HD) display with an optional built-in 2 megapixel (MP) webcam and dual microphone array, as well as SRS Premium Sound Pro. Third- and second-generation Intel Core vPro processors provide power, and an onboard suite of HP touch-enabled software provides interaction with files, media and productivity applications.
The Elite 8300 Touch is optimized for healthcare patients to help them enter personal data. Both models also feature VESA-compatible mounting to save room in tight workspaces. The non-touch-enabled 8300 starts at $879 while the Compaq Elite 8300 Touch starts at $929, and both are expected to be available in early September 2012.
The non-touch Compaq Pro 6300 sports third- and second-generation Intel Core processors, a 21.5-inch diagonal, full HD LED-backlit display, internal stereo speakers and optional 2MP webcam. The Compaq Pro 6300 starts at $799 and also is expected to be available in early September.
HP has also included multilayered client security features that safeguard data, devices and user identities such as hard-drive encryption, HP Face Recognition, Disk Sanitizer and File Sanitizer.
The business desktops also offer a choice of available tools with HP Client Management and include the new HP Premier Image, which features a suite of business software and antivirus protection.
Finally, the Envy 23 (starting at $949.99) and Pavilion 23 ($649.99) feature full 1080p HD 23-inch diagonal displays and up to 2TB of storage. Both PCs offer wireless capabilities and features such as HP’s TrueVision HD Webcam, Magic Canvas and LinkUp applications.
